Welcome to Distant Voices Touring Theatre

Founded by Danny Peak and Julie Nishimura, Distant Voices Touring Theatre (DVTT) is a professional non-profit arts organization dedicated to producing and touring original plays based on real events from America's past and present. Since 1999, DVTT has had more than 100 performances for over 16,000 audience members in Delaware and at national and international venues from the Piccolo Spoletto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina to the Artslink Festival in Watford, England. DVTT also offers pre-show workshops for students and post-show discussions for adults to generate debate and discussion. In 2002, Pacem in Terris recognized DVTT with the Peacemakers Among Us award. DVTT is currently touring two productions: Distant Voices and September Echoes and will premiere a third piece in 2007, Reflections on an Execution.

This program is made possible, in part, by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency committed to promoting and supporting the arts in Delaware.
